Today at School is Go Texan Day, all the kids were encouraged to dress cowboy. This is as good as it gets at our house. Later today at school Jongr is going to perform some dances that he learned in PE with the other K and Pre-K kids. Should be lots of fun.

Holiday Weekend Visitors
Valentines/President's Day weekend this year was quite busy and fun for us. Grandma and Grandpa Butler and Uncle David came to visit with us and we were able to have lots of fun with them. On Saturday we went out to Baytown and ate at one of Jonpa's favorite restaurants near his work, it was so good! After lunch we met up with some of our Stucki cousin's at the Baytown Nature Center.
Too bad that it rained most of the time that we had there, thankfully it did clear up after a while and we were able to get out and see a few of the sights and the kids were able to get nice and wet and muddy before we got back into the car. Overall it was nice and I would like to go back to the Nature Center.
Since Saturday was also Uncle David's Birthday that night we came home and had pizza and wings and a yummy soccer ball cake. We were happy to have Flat Grace and Flat Anne to share with too!
A group picture with Grandpa and Grandma and Uncle David, Jonev was already in bed.
This last one was taken Sunday after dinner with some more of our Stucki cousins, it was so nice to see them all again!

What was That!

A book from my childhood that I now enjoy reading to my boys when we visit Grandma and Grandpa Butler. I think that I am going to buy it, used of course. This was one of my favorite bedtime stories to read growing up and my boys love it now too.

One year ago today our life in Texas truly began, Jonpa went to his first day of work here and the movers unloaded all of the stuff into our house. It is hard to believe that it has been one year. We have had many good experiences here in Texas. At the same time we have missed many of our dear friends in Arizona. We are thankful to a loving Heavenly Father who has given us so much, including the knowledge that this is the right place and the right time for us. We love you all!
My Sport
is Running! Said by Jontu as we were walking home from school today. He then proceeded to run home. I have to ask him to stop and wait so that we can catch up since our sidewalks aren't conducive to running while pushing a stroller. He was so proud of himself for beating all of us home today. What a cute boy!
