Christmas Vacation part 1

Jonpa and the kids started off their vacation with a picture at the Houston temple while they were out doing some Christmas shopping.

Jontu, Jonli, Jonev, and Jongr
We left the next morning at 4 am and stopped for a long breakfast at Cracker Barrel in Louisiana.
Unwinding at the hotel before bed by working on our planking, in Alabama.
Here we are early the next morning on our way out of Birmingham at the temple. It was a beautiful day, last year there was quite a bit of snow on the ground at this stop.
We spent Christmas Eve and morning with all of the Jones family in Indianapolis. Here's Jonpa with one of his favorite gifts. He loves blue skittles.
Cousins Kierste and Dream
Unlce David and baby Henry, it was so fun to meet him.
Uncle Michael and Jonli
Aunt Jeannette and baby Noah, it was the first time to meet him too, although he has grown much since he was born. He was super fun too!
Jontu after opening one of his gifts, thanks Grandma Jones.
Jongr doing the rooster head.
Jonev so excited to finally have a Hero Factory guy like his big brothers that he didn't want to look at the camera.

We were blessed to be able to take a family picture while together and to have lots of fun doing many things. It was an Ocean City theme for us this year and we enjoyed many activities and food around this, including Johnson's popcorn, shrivers fudge and taffy, tasty cakes, and sand cups, we even had special beach tags to wear.

December 2011

There are just a few more pictures that I would like to post from last year, that are worth the effort. I still need to get the Christmas vacation pictures up too, it was a blast to see everyone.

I finally finished our stockings this year, only a couple of years in the works, thanks for all of the creative help and advice. I love how they turned out and they were really fun to make.
Jontu received a special award at school for showing the value of Responsibility. Here he is with the knights that presented the award.
The same day Jongr also received an award for Responsibility. It was pretty fun to be there and be involved in the presentation. The kids don't know that its them and the parents hide on the stage and then the teacher reads about why they chose the student and announce the recipient.

Our annual gingerbread house making party with the Oller Family. It was a fun night as usual and much candy was consumed.
We also had a special visit at our house from Santa, he came to check up and show off a few magic tricks. It was lots of fun! Thanks Santa!

Jonev had his first trip to the dentist and was a pro. He let them clean his teeth and have fluoride on the first visit. It took him a little while to calm down, but after that he was fine. He was so excited to get a new toothbrush out of the deal.

An update...

A few things that have been going on at our house in the past couple of months:
Ok, so I know that Christmas hasn't been "recent", but I thought that I would post it since I didn't post any pics of Christmas yet. Here is the annual picture of the family on Christmas Eve in front of the tree.
We also took advantage of Christmas Break and went to the Space Center here in Houston, it was quite fun! We really enjoyed seeing all of the space artifacts and climbing in some of the old training shuttles and space labs.
This was the first day back to school in January. Jongr and Jontu and their friend Blaar, had so much fun playing in the leaves outside of the little park by our house. It isn't everywhere that you can play in the leaves in January. Jonev wasn't sure what to think of all of the leaves, he didn't want to get in them.
Jongr recently celebrated 100 days of school the first part of February. For his homework he had to make a 100 day poster, this is his finished product. Each of the kids had a different interpretation, it was really neat to see how creative some of them were.

We have been having lots of fun and getting more and more excited for baby sister to arrive in a few short months. It seems like time has been flying by, we have lived in Texas for 2 years now and will be adding our second Texas baby to the family soon.

Christmas Vacation

Here we come! We are off in a few hours for Indiana to spend Christmas with our family. We are really excited. Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas. The little Jedi's are getting excited to see what Santa brought them. Hopefully we will get a chance to post a few pictures before we head off again. When we get back from Indiana we are heading to Idaho for Uncle Richard's wedding. We are so excited for them.
